The members of the Somers Fire Department and all of its divisions would like to thank Chief William Meier Jr. for his dedicated time and leadership during his many years as Chief.
During his time as Chief, the Fire Department has seen growth in membership, a second ambulance, new tanker, and a new service truck. His ability to oversee the department and work with the various boards of the Somers Government has made the department prosper in many ways.
Chief Meier started in 1986 and currently still volunteers on the department. In his years at the department, he has introduced his 3 sons (William III, Matthew, and Christopher) and his daughter (Kerri) to the department as well.
We wish Chief Meier the best of luck in the future and thanks again!!
