Squad II

             The Somers Fire Department has junior membership known as "Squad 2" for 16 and 17 year olds interested in the Fire / EMS service. The "Squad 2" members attend department drills, and after completing a training program, are permitted to attend calls to assist by doing non-hazardous tasks under the direction of a line officer. The goal of this program is to begin the training of our future firefighters and EMS personnel. Please click on the link to the left to read the full list of "Squad 2" guidelines.
